Dade Resource Center

RODS International Resource Center Inc, dba Dade Resource Center is committed to supporting the members of our city and county in their time of need, and work towards a greater good. We are tireless in our efforts to meet the needs of our community in the area of Housing Counseling, US Citizenship Exam Preparation, Finance Literacy, and many areas of Life Skills. Our non-profit organization serves people of all races, creeds, colors, and religions. We do not discriminate. We merely support our fellow citizens, and serve as a guiding light.

RODS International Resource Center Inc./ Dade Resource Center is committed to making a positive difference in the lives we touch in our community primarily by providing resource through knowledge, literacy, professional support, diversity, and by providing committed volunteers who are proven leaders that have a standard of excellence.

1.      What are the opportunities or needs that we exist to address?

Needs in our community are in the areas of finance literacy, Citizenship literacy, housing counseling and assistance, computer literacy, living green literacy, property preservation and maintenance, and basic vehicle maintenance.

2.      What are we doing to address these needs?

Empower our community by coaching, teaching, on the job training, advocacy, resolution education, and demonstration.

3.      What principles or beliefs guide our works (values)?

David R. Navarro

He is the founder and presently the executive director of Dade Resource Center, in Miami Florida, a nonprofit housing and counseling organization that serves a culturally diverse and ethnically rich community.

David has a comprehensive business, educational and lending background. He volunteers at many organizations such as Scouts of America; Special Olympics Florida, American Red Cross, Lions Club International, and Knights of Columbus. He began his career as a residential real estate agent and was recruited by First Federal Savings and Loan of Rochester as a residential mortgage loan officer working in New York City the borough of the Bronx.

David Navarro worked with Apple Bank for Savings as an Assistant Vice President of Affordable housing, where he took part in the monitoring of the banks compliance with Community Reinvestment Act (C.R.A.) requirements for the five boroughs of New York City and parts of Long Island.
He was then recruited by McDonald’s corporation to provided professional commercial real estate services. This included business forecasting, site selection, volume projections and construction cost evaluation. Subsequently, he was asked to join the operations side of the business where he managed restaurants with an average yearly sales volume of $1.8 Million. With many successes in operations he transitioned to Regional Training Consultant where he conducted motivational management training, in English and Spanish. Further, he became an adviser to regional franchisee (Owner/Operators), and Operation Business Consultants.

Thereafter, he worked for Centex Homes/CTX Mortgage as a Sales Manager/Senior Loan Officer and was awarded the TOP GUN award in customer satisfaction and was recognized and awarded Top producer at this organization.
